Join the Prototype
A local friendship platform to meet real people near you
Proximity is an essential element to almost all friendships.
NeighborQuad is a simple, secure platform designed to help adults find friends among the people who live nearby. Everyone is verified and anonymous until two people choose to wave (digitally) at one another.
This early prototype is being tested only in Evansville and Newburgh, Indiana in early 2026. Join during the pilot and you’ll pay a one-time $20 fee for lifetime access.
The goal is simple: prove whether people who don’t know each other, but have proximity and something in common, can become real-world friends - safely, simply, and without it feeling awkward. If you join now and NeighborQuad eventually launches in the app stores, you’re grandfathered in. For life.
Safety and privacy come first. Identities and locations are verified, but pins on the map are approximate to protect privacy. No profile photos. No feeds. No group posts. Just a calm, intentional way to meet people nearby.
FAQ
-
NeighborQuad helps you meet real people who live near you—without the awkwardness, noise, or data-selling nonsense of traditional social apps.
It’s designed for people who want a small, trusted circle, not 500 shallow connections.
-
People who:
Recently moved
Work remotely or hybrid
Have families and limited free time
Want local friends but hate forced networking
Want the benefits that social media fails to deliver
If you’re looking for genuine, low-pressure connections close to home, you’re in the right place.
-
Simple:
Everyone is verified (identity + location)
Profiles stay anonymous
You can “wave” at someone nearby
If they wave back, you’re introduced
No cold DMs. No guessing who’s legit. Mutual interest only.
-
Because first impressions should be about fit, not photos or popularity.
Anonymity reduces bias and pressure, keeping things human in a digital world.
You’ll see names only after both people agree to be connected (by waving at one another).
-

Right now, we’re testing locally in Evansville and Newburgh, Indiana.
Starting small lets us learn fast and protect quality. Expansion comes later.
New users are welcome to sign up across the U.S., but likely won’t see many users near them until we focus on their area.
-
Nope. Not even close.
This is about friendship, community, and belonging.
Some people might eventually meet partners through real human connections, but that’s not the goal or the design.

Not yet, in the true sense of an app we can find in the app stores.

Sign up, get verified, and take a look around.
One wave can be all it takes.
-
Because proximity changes everything.
NeighborQuad is built on a simple idea: the people who live near you are the easiest friendships to actually keep.
When friends are close:
You see them more
Plans happen spontaneously
Kids can play together
Walks, coffee, and quick hellos become normal
Relationships grow without constant scheduling gymnastics
A “quad” represents a small, intentional circle, not a crowd. It’s about a handful of neighbors you genuinely enjoy and can show up for without driving across town or planning weeks ahead.
Most social apps optimize for more people.
NeighborQuad optimizes for the right people, close by.
Four isn’t a limit. It’s a reminder: a few nearby friends can change how a place feels like home.
